Hemp extract and cannabidiol (CBD) are different. To further explain, full-spectrum hemp extract is a concentrated form of the hemp plant and has all the components it had, in a concentrated form. CBD is one component of the hemp plant known as a phytocannabinoid. Our Charlotte’s Web proprietary hemp is naturally high in CBD. For example, our Original Formula has approximately 86 mg of hemp extract per mL. Of the 86 mg of hemp extract, we guarantee that at least 50 mg is CBD per 1 mL.

17 mg CBD per 1 mL oil contains at least 28 mg of hemp extract per mL. Of the 28 mg of full-spectrum hemp extract, you will receive at least 17 mg of CBD per serving.

Charlotte’s Web claims this is a full spectrum hemp extract. Our lab tests confirmed that it is a full-spectrum hemp extract that contains CBD, THC, CBDa, CBC, CBG, and CBDV.

We found that Charlotte's Web contained slightly more CBD than suggested by their new label.

Update 2020: New label now claims 17 mg CBD per 1 mL (total 510 mg). This one needs an update because their new formula is 17 mg instead of the 18 mg formula that we tested in 2019.

We purchased and tested this product in 2019 when it was an 18 mg formula. It is now a 17 mg formula. I updated the price to reflect the new price and account for less CBD, however, we need to do a new review and lab test for accurate cannabinoid levels on their new formula.

Charlotte’s Web claims to have 28 mg of hemp extract per 1 mL dose. Their website lab reported listed 18 mg of CBD per mL. We found that each 1 mL dose contains a total of 22.598 mg of cannabinoids, including 20.295 mg of CBD and 0.905 mg of THC.
